The International eBook Foundation's Frankfort eBook Award
Alberto Vitale, Chairman of the International eBook Award Foundation recently announced that " the International eBook Award Foundation has initiated the Frankfurt eBook Award, the first award designed to recognize publishing and technology achievements in the emerging eBook industry."

The October 2000 Frankfort eBook Award is composed of six different awards. For more details and submission information link here. Submissions will be accepted between April 15, 2000 and August 1, 2000.

The Prairie Schooner Awards
The Prairie Schooner,a well-respected literary quarterly published with the support of the English Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Press, awards prizes to the best short story, best poem, best group of poems, and best work by a new writer.   The award winners are chosen from the work published in The Prairie Schooner Magazine during the previous year.  For more information, follow this contest link.

Red Rock Review Fiction & Poetry Awards

The Red Rock Review, a literary journal published twice annually by the Community College of Southern Nevada and edited by Dr. Richard Logsdon, is dedicated to the publication of contemporary literature. The RRR invites submissions of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction as well as book reviews, but does not publish literary criticism. Link here to view submission guidelines.

Skylands Writers & Artists Association
Skylands Writers & Artists Association is a non-profit organization founded in
1994 by a group of Northwest NJ writers, and incorporated in 1995, by Daniela Gioseffi, founding President. The SWAA sponsors a wide range of literary programs, including readings by New Jersey poets, novelists, short story writers, and essayists.  For information on submitting stories, essays, and poems for publication on the site, or for a list of upcoming programs and/or award competitions, visit this lively site!
