Creative Non-Fiction is a journal devoted exclusively to creative nonfiction,

The Higginsville Reader
The Higginsville Writers "promote interest, discussion and participation in literary endeavors in a creative setting."   Evening meetings are held the second and fourth Fridays of each month in member's homes and offer critique of work in progress, both poetry and prose.

The Higginsville Reader, a literary quarterly published by The Higginsville Writers, welcomes submissions of poetry, short fiction, essays, black and white artwork and photography. The Little Magazine
The Little Magazine is a literary journal devoted to publishing fiction and poetry

The Missouri Review
The Missouri Review writes that its mission is "to discover and nurture the most talented new writers of prose and poetry in America and to showcase their work in a beautifully designed journal."   For submission guidelines, link to their Submission Guidelines page.

Ploughshares
Ploughshares, the literary journal at Emerson College, is published in April, August, and December. For submission guidelines, use this Ploughshares link.

US 1 Worksheets
US1 Worksheets is a small literary periodical that focuses on poetry but does accept prose.  The group meets in the Princeton area every Tuesday at a member's home.   Attendees may read one poem,  or 2-3 pages of prose at each meeting for editorial discussion.

Zoetrope: All-Story
Zoetrope: All-Story,
founded by Francis Coppola, offers this information and encouragement to writers:

"Zoetrope:  All-Story prints short stories, essays on the story genre, reprints of classic stories that were adapted for the screen, and one-act plays.  In addition the magazine commissions short stories based on concepts provided by Francis Coppola, the magazine's founder."
